On The Road Again!: Day 8: Friday, May 18th: A day around town with my brother, John

My brother took half a day off so that he could be our tour guide around town. We left his house after a handyman came to repair the broken gate from the windstorm the night before. We met at the school he teaches at and had fun seeing the beautiful campus. Then we headed to Costco for 'food grazing' and lunch:) The kids had a ball trying out all the free samples...the favorite was a 'creamy'-an ice cream bar-they were able to eat dessert before lunch...then we ate lunch at the Costco 'food court' $12 for lunch and drink for our gang of 8...can't beat that! We headed to the Welcome to Las Vegas sign which interestingly has its own parking lot because of all the tourists who would block traffic just to take a picture near it. We visited some of the kid friendly venues and then headed back to John's house via a drive by past the famed Pawn Shop from the cable show that we have seen on many hotel tvs! We had a quick dinner and then my cousin, JaieLyn and her 3 boys came over for dessert. The kids had a great time playing in the pool and we adults enjoyed our visit. It was a fun, full day!

At M&M World

Did you ever see so many M&M colors? We were able to taste the mint and raspberry filled ones..YUM!

At the Coca Cola Store...

New York,New York on the Las Vegas strip...and yes, that is a working roller coaster on the top of that hotel!!

In the Apple store at the mall in Caesar's as we waited for a free show to start..the girl in blue was from Hammonton,NJ and so glad to meet 'East Coasters'

Philip, Curtis, and my brother went around to various computers and left them on some thought provoking sites'...and then we ran out:) John left it on the homepage of his church and another monitor was opened to Sovereign Grace Ministries ...
